Lianna Sugarman isn’t just a gorgeous New Yorker by nature. She’s got great nutrition as the Chief Blending Officer (AKA founder and CEO) of LuliTonix—a line of raw, organic blended elixirs that come in fiber-filled flavors like KICK!, GLOW!, and FRESH! And she’s a doyenne of regular detoxing.

We got her favorite winter practice, an almost tropical body scrub that uses just three ingredients, which smoothie chefs may already have in their kitchens, she says.

“This shower scrub is easy, detoxifying, and, yes, edible. The aroma is incredibly yummy and lets me pretend it’s summer for a hot second,” says Sugarman, who uses it on her face and body.

As for the results of this DIY exfoliation? “It’s energizing and moisturizing—your skin and lips are SO soft afterwards,”  she adds. Sugarman likes to save a little extra in a jar for her lips. “Use it whenever you like—and there’s no need to rinse it off your lips.” You’ll see why when you try it.

Cacao Detox Scrub

1 cup coconut sugar
3/4 cup raw coconut oil
1/4 cup raw cacao

Mix and mush all ingredients very well in a mixing bowl using your hands or a solid wooden spoon. Generously slather on your skin while standing on a bathmat or some other no-slip surface, and rub it on for a good few minutes before you jump in the shower to rinse it off. —Melisse Gelula
