Skull-tee seekers rejoice!
The SoulCycle Warehouse Sale kicked off today in New York City’s NoMad neighborhood and will run through Sunday June 22. Expect lines down the block (see above) and a frenzy of Tribeca twelve-year-olds, their mothers, and everyone in between (who snuck out of work) for discounted Soul gear.
Prices start at $22 for sports bras and $40 for performance tights—buy five items, and get one free. The selection was a pleasant surprise (we were there at the start, mind you), with on-trend muscle tees and some black capris, as opposed to yesterday’s zebra-print and studded rejects, although there were some. A curtained-off section in the back with more merch tells us they will be replenishing reserves throughout the rest of the sale.
We think we even spied co-founders Julie Rice and Elizabeth Cutler there to survey their brand’s first ever warehouse sale. Given the crowds today, it will likely not be its last. —Jamie McKillop
The price list hits below retail, although it’s still not dirt cheap. Some might be disappointed after waiting in line in the sweltering sun to pay $25 for a tank.
Sections are organized by size, and there was a ton of stock in extra small and large available.
We were surprised to see some black capris on sale, which seem like they’d be a hot commodity in the studios.
Yes, the line to pay does indeed wrap around the whole store.
