Welcome to Wellness Confidential, our quick-fire interview series where we ask hard-hitting (okay, entertaining) wellness questions, lightning round-style.

Today we’re quizzing Chloe Coscarelli, the founder of By Chloe, the vegan hotspot that New Yorkers went crazy for when it opened last year (and Angelenos will get a chance to sample soon).

First thing I did when I woke up this morning

Tasted pastries at By Chloe. Most of my days start by tasting all the pastries at By Chloe—who can complain about dessert for breakfast, right?

The workout I’m currently obsessed with

Lifting weights at S10 Training by Stephen Cheuk.

My most memorable sweaty moment

My first Bikram yoga class at Bikram Yoga Herald Square. I knew it would be hot, but I wasn’t ready for just how hot! I learned quickly why people bring more than one towel.

The one place I’d never wear my yoga pants

I can’t think of a place. I wear yoga pants from business meetings to fancy dinners!

If I were a fruit or vegetable I’d be

Avocado. It’s my favorite food. You can add it to almost anything or just sprinkle with salt and eat with a spoon.

The last time I used my oven

Making hot apple cider with rum last Friday night—testing recipes for By Chloe!

I never make a smoothie without adding

Medjool dates. They add a natural sweetness and texture.

The one song that I’ve been playing on repeat

“Roses” by The Chainsmokers because it reminds me of one of my favorite SoulCycle classes with Akin.

My go-to spot for date night with my BF/GF/BFFs

Rosa Mexicano for their delicious and addicting Guacamole en Molcajete.

Where I go when I need to be alone

Whole Foods.

The one wellness trend you’ll never see me try

Bone broth.

I firmly believe that a woman can never have too many

Hair ties!

Most people probably don’t know this about me, but

I’m a matchmaker. I love setting people up and have successfully paired quite a few couples!

My mantra of the moment

“But then again, maybe it’s just because you’re afraid.” I saw it on a Post-it at my entrepreneur friend Michael DuDell’s desk at WeWork.
