Class Action: STEALTH by Willspace


Celeb trainer Will Torres is known for his precision-based, martial arts-infused approach to personal training, which is on full display at his West Village studio, Willspace. Now, he’s taking that approach outside with his boot camp class, STEALTH, designed to increase your stamina, strength, and power.

The outdoor class starts with a series of agility drills and dynamic stretches to warm your body up, like ladder runs into slow lunges with a twist.

Then, you launch into fast-paced intervals that pair aerobic and anaerobic exercises using your bodyweight, resistance bands, and the Christoper Street Pier’s infrastructure. We did a sequence of sprints followed by bench push-ups, crunches, and squats, and then moved into a circuit of running with a partner pulling you back with a resistance band followed by bench box jumps.

The cool-down period is dynamic, too. Instead of sitting and touching your toes, you’ll step into poses like “Flamingo,” Torres’ take on yoga’s dancer pose.

Overall, it’s a full-body, metabolism-boosting 60 minutes with a great trainer that’s only enhanced by the sweeping Hudson River view.
