Ninety-three-year-old Tao Porchon-Lynch has finally been named the “World’s Oldest Yoga Teacher” by Guinness World Records, after being beat out last year by a Florida woman two years her junior. She has studied with Indra Devi, Sri Aurobindo, and BKS Iyengar.

The New Yorker has been practicing for 70 years and teaching for 45.

Even after hip replacement surgery, Porchon-Lynch continues to teach regular classes at multiple Westchester studios and is often a guest instructor at studios like Strala Yoga and YogaWorks in NYC.

She also travels around the world spreading her yoga-keeps-you-young gospel. In the next two months, she’ll teach in New Hampshire, Montana, and New Hampshire—to name a few.

“I’m going to teach yoga until I can’t breathe anymore. Then it’s going to carry me to the next planet,” Porchon-Lynch, laughing, told the BBC (check out the cute video). “I love yoga, it brightens my day and makes everybody smile.”
