Madonna’s new Addicted to Sweat DVD features her workouts, but not her

Madonna Addicted to SweatMadonna’s workout empire, Hard Candy Fitness, has been spreading around the globe. Now, she’s bringing her personal workout method to those of us who don’t live in one of her chosen cities (Mexico City, Moscow, Santiago), via a four-disc DVD set.

Addicted to Sweat officially debuts on September 5, and it features her current trainer, Nicole Winhoffer (the latest in a long line), demonstrating lots of dance cardio.

In the trailer, Winhoffer, who’s also a professional dancer, says she developed the program with the Material Girl “based on the workouts I do with Madonna every day. They’re inspired by our toning and cardio sessions.”

The only thing missing from the workout is Madge herself. At least she’s in the trailer…

Each DVD is named to invoke an increasing level of sweat (and as many “That’s what she said” comments as possible). Get Wet (three dance sequences), Slippery When Wet (upper, lower, and core toning using a towel), Wet, Wet, Wild (more challenging dance/toning), and Dripping Wet (total body workout using a chair).

We’re excited for the chance to workout (and dance) like the queen of pop, but we still think Madonna should bring one of her luxe Hard Candy gyms to New York. Or at least make a cameo in her DVD.

Addicted to Sweat will be available at www.hardcandyfitness.com on September 5, $19.95 for individual DVDs, $59.95 for set of 4.
