New York City’s downtown cool-kids juice bar Melvin’s Juice Box will now pour Jamaican Green and Garden of Vegan juices in the East Village.

Its sister company, the eclectic Jamaican-style diner Miss Lily’s, opened an Avenue A outpost called Miss Lily’s 7A Cafe, on Monday, May 19, and it includes a small juice bar nestled next to the “rum bar.”

It’s a much smaller space than Melvin’s Houston Street location (or its luxe Dream Downtown digs), but you can still pick up a made-to-order juice or Body Good Salad on site.

And it’ll be in good company (or competition) too, since two Juice Press stores, Gingersnap’s Organic, BeQu, and other juicy spots are all a stone’s throw away. —Lisa Elaine Held
