New Yorkers have been flocking to yoga studios for a leg up on the dating scene over the past year. Now, a cardio dance workshop is offering a similar opportunity: the chance to sweat your way to sexy confidence that will boost your dating game.
“Shake Your Assets,” happening on Saturday, April 6 in a Soho loft, is a collaboration between 305 Fitness and relationship and self-love expert Lindsay Kriger. It will include tips from Kriger and a super sweaty workout dance party with 305 Fitness founder Sadie Kurzban.
“305 is about welcoming your flaws, honoring your struggles, and showing clients that they can move with confidence in any situation,” Kurzban says. “Dating is like that, too. It’s not about being the perfect mate or always nailing the first date. It’s about honoring who you are and trusting that there is someone out there who will love you, all of your flaws included.”
In other words, if you’re willing to grind your hips and shake your booty in public even though you don’t exactly have Shakira’s rhythm, it may suddenly become easier to put yourself out there when it comes to your OkCupid profile.
And if you’re still not feeling sexy after busting out your moves like Beyonce, there will be swag and giveaways from Victoria’s Secret, Shaffali skin care, and Babeland. —Lisa Elaine Held
