This Saturday, May 7, Central Park will be transformed into a giant outdoor fitness center, courtesy of Self Magazine.

According to NY1, more than 5,000 New Yorkers usually attend Self's Workout in the Park. Fitness-focused sponsors like Athleta, Puma, and Reebok will be offering discounts on fitness fashion pieces.

Crunch Fitness will be providing 20-minute sessions of its creative, often zany workout classes from 11 a.m.–3 p.m., and for a $20 admission fee (the approximate price of a New York City yoga class), you can choose from three different workout options for each time slot. You'll also get a full year's subscription to Self Magazine.

This year's highlights include three new workouts—LaBlast, a cardio dance class designed by a "Dancing with the Stars" choreographer, Glee Club, which will also exercise your vocal chords, and KAMA Strength. We tried KAMA Strength's sister class, KAMA Sensual, just a few weeks ago, and let's just say that even Elvis might not have accomplished this amount of pelvic thrusting in his career.

An added bonus? Your charitable muscles will be activated, as 50 percent of your ticket price will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure and Cancer and Careers.

Self  Workout in the Park, Saturday, May 7, 11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., Rumsey Playfield, Central Park, enter at 72nd St. and Fifth Avenue. $20 tickets must be purchased in advance at www.selfworkoutinthepark.com
