Amy’s Kitchen, the company loved for its convenient vegetarian frozen foods and grocery store staples, is opening its first drive-thru restaurant in Sonoma County, California, in July.
The restaurant is promising a fresh take (not microwaved!) on the quality organic products you’re used to getting in the freezer aisles, including meat-free burgers, burritos, macaroni and cheese, pizza, salad, and chili, as well as milkshakes and vegan non-dairy shakes, according to the Huffington Post.
Getting into the restaurant industry is a smart business move for the brand, considering there are over 16 million vegetarians and vegans living in the United States. And pretty much all of them (according to a much smaller Well+Good office poll) need decent road trip food. —Emily Karr
