Roughly every 30 days, the sun reigns over a new zodiac sign; and right now, we're in the thick of Gemini season. To celebrate, Madeleine Murphy, co-founder of Montauk Juice Factory and The End Brooklyn (known for its dreamy unicorn lattes) has crafted a special latte that you can make at home to get more connected to the celestial elements.

"Gemini season is ruled by Mercury and is all about communication," says Murphy, who is also the founder of Sacred Space Revolution. "It's a time of high-integrity communication, but there's also a playful energy. It's a time of happiness, success, and going out there and making things happen."

"Hibiscus is one of the flowers of Gemini season, and on top of that, blue hibiscus rules the throat chakra, [encouraging] more open access to your thoughts." —Madeleine Murphy, co-founder of The End Brooklyn

With this in mind, she crafted The End Brooklyn's gemini tea latte, which has a creamy oat milk base. The starring ingredient is butterfly pea flower, also known as blue hibiscus. "Hibiscus is one of the flowers of Gemini season, and on top of that, blue hibiscus rules the throat chakra, [encouraging] more open access to your thoughts," Murphy explains. (Health-wise, it's linked to being an antidepressant and increasing the collagen and elasticity in cells, preventing premature aging.) Also in the latte are freeze-dried strawberries to celebrate the official start of strawberry season (*does happy dance*).

While you can make the gemini tea latte at home—courtesy of their recipe, below—if you go to The End for yours, you'll get a look at its new astrology alchemy bar. The start of each zodiac season will usher in a new base tonic tea, and then customers can top off their drinks with flower and gemstone elixirs at the bar. "For Gemini, we have a madia flower essence because madia is the flower of focus and communication," Murphy says, adding that flower essences are more of an emotional medicine than a physical one.

Whether you make the scaled down version at home or go all out with the cafe-made one, Murphy hopes the sweet summer latte will help you feel more connected to the season. "We hope it plants the seed of connection back to the rhythm of nature," she says. "It's a really simple way to re-wild ourselves. Especially if you live in an urban area, you might not feel the connection to nature as much, so this is a way to honor the earth."
