And we’ve tapped Strole for simple DIY recipes that cater to what your winter skin is dealing with right now.

Each of these beauty recipes “have ingredients that penetrate the skin easily—and protect it with ingredients like olive oil and coco butter. They are my go-tos for dry skin,” says Strole.

Makes approximately 8 oz.

1/4 cup shea butter
1/4 cup coco butter
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
1/4 cup unrefined virgin coconut oil

1. Melt the shea and coco butter and coconut oil in a double boiler and remove from heat.
2. Let cool for half an hour.
3. Stir in olive oil and an essential oil of your choice.
4. Chill your ingredients in the fridge until they solidify, and then whip with a hand mixer until it reaches a creamy consistency.
5. Package in a glass jar.
6. To use, apply after cleansing and toning.

Makes approximately 4 oz.

Ingredients
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
1/4 cup beeswax chips
1/2 tsp vitamin E oil

1. Combine ingredients in a double boiler set over low to medium heat, until melted.
2. Remove from heat, transfer to a resealable tin or salve container, and let cool before placing the lid on the container.
3. To use, apply generously to desired areas.

Makes approximately 2 oz.; all three recipes have a shelf life of approximately three months.

1 Tbsp shea butter
1 Tbsp beeswax chips or grated beeswax
1 Tbsp unrefined virgin coconut oil
10 drops lemon essential oil

1. Melt shea butter, beeswax, and coconut oil in a double boiler set over medium heat.
2. Remove from heat, and stir in lemon essential oil.
3. Pour into a small resealable tin and allow to fully cool before covering with the lif.
4. To use, massage a small amount into cuticles daily.
