The chicest way to give back during Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Bloomingdales-Ribbon

Need we even have to say it? Breast cancer sucks. That’s why the entire month of October is devoted to spreading awareness—and fighting—the disease that’s affected 3 million survivors in the US alone.

But that’s not just a statistic. Behind the numbers, there are countless crazy-inspirational and heartwarming stories from real women who have battled the disease. And this year, Bloomingdale’s is sharing a few—from its own employees.

Watch the video above to hear directly from the survivors themselves, who illustrate that cancer doesn’t only affect one generation. From the totally uplifting (“I kicked cancer’s ass”), to the defiantly fierce (“Cancer hasn’t defined me”) the minute-long clip is a must-see for all the emotional feels.

So, how can you contribute? By stocking up on super cute jeans, those printed leggings you’ve been eyeing, and basically everything you need for fall (for real).

Now through October 31, Bloomingdale’s is launching the Give Pink, Get More campaign to fund breast-cancer research, support, and awareness. Donate $15 by charging it to your Bloomingdale’s card (100 percent of which goes to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation®, The Carey Foundation, and the Marisa Acocella Marchetto Foundation), and start beefing up your fall wardrobe: you’ll get $25 back for every $250 you spend.

Once you rack up your haul, you’ll be mailed your Give Pink, Get More gift card (worth up to $250) with all your savings, just in time to knock out your holiday shopping in December.

One thing you might want to pick up? The graphic sweatshirt above, designed by buzzy artist Donald Robertson to support Bloomingdale’s campaign. Besides being the perfect thing to throw on before your morning spin class, $15 of your purchase will go to breast-cancer research (find it online or in stores starting today).

It’s one small way you can give back—while also upgrading your sweat session wardrobe.
