How to Style Your Bathing Suit With Everything This Summer

One major perk of the bodysuit revival going on right now (Khloe Khardashian is already a big fan, plus Ultracor just released its own unicorn version at Bandier) is that it's given one-piece swimwear a second life outside of the water.

Yep, your maillot's totally, ahem, suitable for pretty much every setting this season–from work to your outdoor women's circle (and you'll actually be prepared the next time a party end's with everyone jumping in the pool). Best of all, you can wear the summer wardrobe staple with practically anything in your closet—especially if the style in question is a classic LBS.

Ready to take the plunge and wear your swim gear as the base for some seriously chic outfits?

Here, a stylist shows you 3 cool ways to rock your one-piece as a bodysuit.

To pull off a swimsuit at work, pair it with relaxed separates

“I can envision an oversized blazer and accompanying high-waisted, but loosely fitted shorts with this one-piece,” suggests stylist and Chillhouse founder Cyndi Ramirez. Plus, if your happy hour plans happen to be poolside, you'll be prepared.

Give your LBS a date-night makeover with a calf-skimming skirt

For a cool look on a hot summer night, pair it with a midi skirt in a breezy fabric like linen. How to polish off the ensemble? "A messy top bun and hoop earrings,” Ramirez insists.

When in doubt, blue jean out

Create a go-to summer uniform that'll work everywhere from the beach to a dreamy backyard barbecue by layering your suit under oversized denim overalls (yes, they're back—and adult-appropriate), says Ramirez. Slip on a pair of Birks (ideally ones that are iridescent, just because) for a functional look you'll be living in until Labor Day.

In case you're more of a sneakers than slip-ons type of gal, here are the season's coolest kicks. And if you can't decide, don't! Try this sparkly sneaker-sandal instead.
