Most of us could post #TBT pics of our fitness fashion (sins): an old college t-shirt here, nondescript sweats there—and sports bras that were more “institutional Spanx” than today’s wear-them-as-a-top bralettes. Somehow, Tara Milhem skipped that step.
“I’ve always been into fashionable fitness clothes. It went from Nike tennis outfits to Lululemon and now to more boutique fitness labels,” The Whole Tara blogger (whose Instagram is a Well+Good reader fave) tells us.
The yoga teacher—who is all about body positivity and a balanced approach to health (and of course “Whole Tara” loves whole foods)—says she loves to mix it up with her workout routine (which includes body weight training, kickboxing, and Pilates). And of course, her workout wear must be just as mix-and-matchable.
“I love to go from workout to errands, so I love versatile pieces. There are days when I go with a little more of a muted tone (blacks, grays) and I’ll add a pop of color with a jacket or pullover. So it all depends on mood and day for me.”
Read on to see what The Whole Tara’s Tara Milhem is obssessed with now, style-wise.
1. Skullcandy Knockout Headphones, $99.99
I can’t live without music, especially not when I’m working out. These headphones are super stylish and match my favorite workout outfits. Must-haves!
2. Lou & Grey Cropped Leggings, $54.99
Love the look of these cropped leggings, especially the waistband. Plus it’s different than your usual black legging!
3. Lou & Grey Drapeback Tee, $34.50
I’m always into doing a relaxed top with a legging. This is perfect to throw on post-workout to run around the city.
There’s nothing better than a cute crop that doubles as a sports bra to hit the gym or yoga studio.
And finally, you can’t forget the matching leggings. I love this outfit so much, I’d even wear it when I’m not working out. They also have different color schemes to mix it up!
