The signature HIIT workout is based on a “whirlwind” method of thirty one-minute exercises, where you alternate Air Assault Bike sprints (AKA airdyne bikes) and weight training. Another five minutes are given to things like core work, stretching, or mopping the sweat out of your eyes and surreptitious water breaks.
“Offerings are a big thing for us and you’ll find everything from interval training to boxing, TRX, and even yoga and Pilates,” says Ramon Castillon, the CEO of Basecamp.
This will be the fifth location of the no-frills workout brand that’s developed a low-key, almost CrossFit community vibe and has mastered how to get your workout down to 35 minutes.
“We’ve learned a great deal over the last 2.5 years in terms of culture and programming and we’re thankful we’ll be able to apply those learnings,” says Castillon. —Melisse Gelula
