The 21-day program ($150) includes a serious fitness component, including four in-person workout sessions with Hundt and weekly at-home workouts via her DVD, and regular email. But nutrition plays a starring role.
Hundt starts you out with a “Fat Burning 101” nutrition workshop, determines your personal nutrition calculations, and then provides you with meal ideas, supplement suggestions, and shopping lists. “This is by no means a ‘drink juice only’ detox program,” explains Hundt.
But, the word “detox” is there for a reason. To complete the challenge, you’ll have to give up all alcohol and sugar and commit to at least three hours of exercise per week.
“My goal is to teach you all you need to know to create a healthy, fit, and vibrant body,” says Hundt. “So you can continue this at any intensity that suits your lifestyle and goals going forward.”
She’ll assign you a workout buddy to help you get there, and there are prizes for motivation: $500 cash will pad the pocket of the detoxer who loses the most weight. —Lisa Elaine Held
