Comedian Maria Bamford does a great bit wherein she unpacks the reasons why ordinary humans follow the every move of celebrities. It’s because, she says, our monkey brains believe that these stars know where all of the bananas are hidden. This is certainly true when it comes to supermodels—one look at the Victoria’s Secret runway will have you saying, “I’ll have what she’s having,” stat.

As a long-time Victoria’s Secret model and mother of two who’s ranked on Forbes’ list of the highest-paid women in her industry, Alessandra Ambrosio surely has a secret stockpile of bananas (so to speak). At a Words with Friends event in Los Angeles earlier this month (she’s a huge fan of the game because she says it helps her stay connected with friends and family), the supermodel shared a surprising tip for prepping her mind, body, and soul for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show—and it’s a habit you can copy before any big event.

“The most important thing to do is to sleep eight hours the night before.”

“The most important thing to do [to prep for the Victoria’s Secret Show] is to sleep eight hours the night before,” she said. “It’s hard because the mind gets anxious, so I try CBD oil and I think it helps.” Her go-to is CBD Water from Kreation Organic Juicery in Los Angeles, but it’s legal to purchase CBD (cannabidiol) sourced from the hemp plant in all 50 states.

To further prep for the show, Ambrosio doubles down on her workout regimen. Normally, Ambrosio said she enjoys yoga, but leading up to her runway walk, she relies on the Tracy Anderson Method. “Before the show, because I’m really focused on being in my best shape, I do more Tracy—I go six to seven times per week,” she said. “The secret of Tracy Anderson is that you have to go at least once a week, otherwise your body gets weak and it just gets harder.”

A hard workout plus a good night’s sleep is a model combo whether you’re stomping down the runway or stomping out brain fog.

Dive deeper into CBD oil and other cannabis wellness products’ emerging mainstream popularity and try Tracy’s armslegs, butt, and abs workouts from the comfort of your own home.
