The Treatment Cleanser smells fresh and clean and gently exfoliates as you scrub, and the Treatment Oil is super hydrating. (Don’t be scared—it won’t make your skin more oily!)

The Treatment Serum is the kit standout, which I’ve been calling a “better for you benzoyl peroxide.” I’ve wanted to kick that chemical for a long time, and I’ve found this organic serum really goes the extra mile: It balances your skin’s oil production, instead of just taking it all away. And it kills bacteria with pumpkin seed and lavender oils, instead of BP’s method, which can irritate your skin and sensitize it to the sun.

Speaking of sun damage, the Marie Veronique kit also includes a lightly tinted face sunscreen to protect your newly clear visage from daily rays.

Of course, it’s almost impossible to say whether the kit will definitely banish all of your blemishes back to grade school. But we can report that while we used it, our skin stayed clear—with no new zits popping up. (And no burning or dry patches to get there.)
