Gwyneth Paltrow and Tracy Anderson to host a healthy living web series

If the inspirational tone of the trailer is any indication, The Restart Project will be a tear-jerker.

The trailer for Gwyneth Paltrow’s and business partner Tracy Anderson’s new web series, The Restart Project, was released today. It’s teasing their upcoming show on AOL On, which premieres on Monday, December 16, with lots of inspirational imagery and language—and lots of women crying.

These are tears of accomplishment and resilience: The duo spend time with women who’ve “overcome hardship, injury, and setbacks to triumph in the face of adversity.” Most are women who are transforming their health through diet and exercise and have reached impressive goals, like scaling Kilimanjaro.

“We’re inspired by women who have restarted their lives using health and fitness,” Paltrow says in the trailer. “They’re not focused on getting into their skinny jeans, they’re focused on healing themselves from the inside out,” Anderson adds (followed not long after by a message-confusing frame of a woman holding up jeans that are now way too big on her…).

Awkward edits aside, it seems like an Oprah-esque model that lots of women will respond to—very likely in tears. —Lisa Elaine Held
