Welcome to Cosmic Health, your day-by-day source of celestial advice—with a wellness twist. Astrologer Jennifer Racioppi is looking to the stars to find out what's affecting *everyone* during the week of November 20, when it comes to topics like food, fitness, sleep, sex, and more.

Monday, November 20

With the moon traveling through fiery Sagittarius, and the sun at the final degrees of Scorpio, we enter into the late season of fall and a further plummet into the darkness—at least in the northern hemisphere. Just because there’s less sunshine and the weather is colder, it doesn’t mean you (or your body) need to suffer. Instead, stoke the fire of your life. Think of about trying out kundalini yoga or pranayama practice (AKA Ayurvedic breathwork) like kapalabhati—which is an advanced yogic breathing technique that is said to purify and rejuvenate the mind and body—as a way to uplift your energy and increase your natural strength. Maybe even consider doing a light morning fast, and increase the intake of alkalizing foods like lemon, ginger, and apple cider vinegar. (You'll be glad you did come Thanksgiving!)

Tuesday, November 21

As the sun traverses the last degrees of Scorpio, a fixed water sign, awkward and uncomfortable emotions may arise from within. When the sun exits the sign of the scorpion you may feel an inner shadow (or two) trigger. If so, give yourself time to be. Take the position of the observer, and acknowledge what you feel without fixating on it. As the saying goes, "You have to feel it to heal it." At 9:04 p.m. EST the sun enters optimistic and upbeat Sagittarius, shifting the cosmic landscape, and your mood. This too shall pass. In the meantime, embrace the healing journey.

Wednesday, November 22

Neptune, the planet of dreams and illusions, stations direct today. Having been retrograde since June 16, this mystical planet awakens asking you to name and claim your dream. Meditation proves fruitful and compelling now, as does journaling—especially when it comes to writing about intentions for the upcoming year. As you leave the hustle of work to create space for quality time with those you love, stay mindful and purposeful. Since Neptune can blur lines and boundaries, you want to approach alcohol with mindfulness. If you do drink, do so with temperance.

Thursday, November 23

With Thanksgiving here, now’s the time to embrace gratitude for the abundance of your life. Consciously reflect on where you were last year at this time and all the joy and progress you’ve cultivated since then. If you are dealing with a difficult health scenario, profound grief, and recovering from loss, embrace what Carol Dweck calls a growth mindset, and ask yourself, "What am I learning?" Still can’t find the spirit of gratitude? Just embrace where you are without needing to change it, fix it or make it better. Trust that your healing is happening, even if you can’t consciously see it. You are not cosmically forgotten.

Friday, November 24

Use this waxing Aquarius moon day to tend to your most authentic needs. Hold a boundary when it comes to exterior competition for your time, and over-consumption—especially with black Friday sales everywhere. Mercury, the planet of communication, makes an awkward angle to Chiron, an asteroid that promotes healing. This suggests that today might be a day that helps you move deep into forgiveness of others and yourself. Let go of old resentments and stay committed to the goal of revolutionizing your life and your health.

Saturday, November 25

With the long weekend in full effect, now’s the time to enjoy a bit of freedom and fun. Yet, it’s also essential to stay grounded, too. With only one planet in an earth sign, (Pluto in Capricorn) it may feel all too easy to ignore your body and health routines. Carve out time today to connect with an exercise routine that fuels you. With the moon in Aquarius, you may feel called to a group exercise class that nurtures your sense of curiosity. If so, go for it. Take that class you've been dying to try. Aerial yoga or pole dancing anyone?

Sunday, November 26

Pay attention to curveballs. With the waxing quarter moon in Pisces here, an inconvenient truth may reveal itself. Should someone say something inappropriate, try not to take it personally. If you feel like there’s something tangibly blocking you from moving forward with your dream, take a more in-depth look at what you can do to move beyond it. What are you learning, and how can you move forward regardless? Then get grounded. Plan your week out. Take care of groceries, laundry, and get ready to return to work! Feeling the Sunday night blues? Indulging a movie or music pairs perfectly with Pisces moon vibes.
