JackRabbit Sports’ 14th Street location is adding a second free Saturday morning class to the roster. (They currently offer Yoga for Runners and Athletes once a month.) “We’re looking to add additional free classes,” says store manager Mark Montgomery, who recognizes that JackRabbit’s athletic customers are likely to be getting their workout on at that hour. “So you can come to JackRabbit any Saturday morning at 8:30 and get a great free workout.”
This Saturday (as in tomorrow), check out Pilates for Runners with Kinected studio co-founder Matt McCulloch. In this 60-minute class, McCulloch will focus on hip-flexor and hamstring flexibility, building quadriceps strength, and amping up runner’s core stamina. McCulloch will give your mind a workout, too, by explaining essential running anatomy and tips to prevent overuse injuries.
