flowers_in_NYC_pavementLearn how local medicinal plants that grow through the cracks in New York City streets can be used in healing at Third Root Community Health Center in Ditmas Park, Brooklyn, this summer. (We love their sliding scale acupuncture.)

During the 12-week course (held Wednesdays 6-9 pm), you’ll also learn which body systems are benefited by specific plants, how to make medicine from these local medicinal herbs, and how to identify them in the wild.

The Herbal Education Program starts May 5th through August 18th. Applications are due by April 22. Email Jacoby Ballard at [email protected]

Cost: $600, scholarships and payment plans available; www.thirdroot.org
