Perky, Australian lifestyle dynamo Lorna Jane Clarkson has been inspiring women to get moving Down Under with her Active Nation Day since 2012. And the women shopping her yoga pants and workout tanks, and who’ve participated to date, have collectively racked up an impressive five million miles together using the Lorna Jane app.

This month the rapidly expanding fitness fashion brand (there are now 32 stores and counting in the US) will hold their first stateside Active Nation Day at Santa Monica Place in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 28.

The focus of the free event is a 45-minute Move class, “a fusion of dynamic strength training and high-intensity choreographed dance moves followed by some old school aerobics”—taught by fitness and Pilates instructor Christine Bullock. (BYO towel and water, and wear sneakers.)

Afterwards, you can refuel at the Move, Nourish, Believe Market (echoing the brand’s motto), which will be serving post-workout snacks and smoothies, find some fitspo on Lorna Jane’s “Believe” board; learn some skills at a DIY flower crown station; and, of course, shop the sporty, playful designs.

“If you just wear active wear every day, you will be more active,” promises Clarkson. Well, you do stand a better chance than in a dress and heels.

Active Nation Day, Sunday, September 28, 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. at Santa Monica Place, Center Court, 395 Santa Monica Blvd. The event is free, RSVP is required
