Amid all the media chatter about Lululemon’s policy of almost never discounting its pricey yoga threads, the company contacted us to let us know that they were, um, having a sale. A really big sale.

According to Business Insider, Lululemon’s CEO Christine Day told CNBC that despite a recent drop in shares, the company would not revise its little-to-no-discounts approach (an obvious policy you’ve probably lamented while browsing the Lulu racks.) “You’ll either offer promotions or not, and we’re in the ‘not’ category,” she said. weighed in on her comments later with the headline “Don’t Expect Lululemon to ‘Play the Sale Game.'”

Meanwhile, the company will actually be hosting a giant warehouse sale on Long Island over Superbowl weekend (February 1–3, 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.). The “Yogabowl” will take over 60,000 square feet of Nassau Coliseum. “This is truly a once in a lifetime sale,” says community relations rep Amanda Casgar. “It will be discounted more than you ever see at our stores. Prices will range from $9–$99.” The sale will also feature “tailgating” with food trucks and entertainment in the parking lot.

So while you probably won’t be finding any $30 yoga pants in Soho’s boutique anytime soon, if you feel like coughing up the cash for a Zipcar in a few weeks, you may, at long last, behold butt-shaping Luon in a moment of affordable glory. —Lisa Elaine Held
