Lululemon’s new Brooklyn store will officially open this Friday, June 14, on Smith Street (right off the Bergen Street F/G stop), with grand opening festivities all weekend long.
The store is the brand’s first “official” store in the borough—it closed its smaller showroom in Park Slope last month to make way for the debut—and it will come with a “Brooklyn vibe.” (Luon fedoras?)
Doors open at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, and the weekend will feature free classes with the store’s local ambassadors, including candlelight yoga with Bend & Bloom and Mala Yoga’s Daniella Rosales-Friedman on Friday at 8:30 p.m., a run club with triathlete coach Mike Olzinski on Saturday at 9:00 a.m., and yoga with Prana Power’s Be Shakti on Sunday at 9:00 a.m.
You can also expect a farmer’s market and food and drinks from local businesses like Brooklyn Kombucha and Van Leeuwen ice cream. And, of course, lots of (tattoo-exposing) summer tanks and Wunder Unders. —Lisa Elaine Held
