Taking a shower with a can of beer propped up next to your conditioner sounds like something a frat boy would do, not a movie star, but it turns out to be a pretty good hack for getting a good night’s sleep—at least according to Margot Robbie.
The Suicide Squad actress recently opened up to Harper’s Bazaar about her wellness habits—on top of what she’s already shared about getting into fighting shape for the movie in just two weeks—and told the publication that her favorite way to relax was to soak in a tub of hot water (or take a boiling-hot shower) and sip on an ice cold beer at the same time.
It was a little trick she learned on the set of Whiskey Tango Foxtrot: “[When I was on set], I was saying, ‘Oh, my God, I can’t wait to go home,’ and Tina Fey’s costume lady was like, ‘Me too. I can’t wait to go home and have a beer shower.’ I was like, ‘What’s a beer shower?'” the actress recounts.
And when that doesn’t work? Robbie has another handy hack up her sleeve: “I read Harry Potter before bed and it helps me switch my brain off,” she says. Beer, books, and bedtime. Now that’s a routine worth trying.
