My Favorite Green Juice Recipe: Hillary Peterson

As the founder of True Nature Botanicals, Hillary Peterson spends her days sourcing lavender essential oils and foods-turned-skin-care ingredients like green tea and aloe vera for her non-toxic fragrances and Pacific skin-care line, which she launched while CEO of Marie Veronique Organics.

So, it’s no surprise that her go-to green juice blend has beauty-boosting benefits. “I often find myself making smoothies with ingredients that we use in our skin-care products,” says Peterson.

“Vitamins like C and E are key to combating free radicals, and E in particular provides extra moisture,” she explains. “Bottom line: our skin, like our bodies, needs a broad range of essential fatty acids, vitamins, and lots of antioxidants.”

Which is why Peterson fills her green juice with kiwi and hemp seeds, which are loaded with vitamins and essential fatty acids, respectively—plus greens from her own garden in Mill Valley, California.

Think of it as a smoothie, that’s also secretly a facial. —Molly Gallagher
