Kira Stokes is a fitness renaissance woman: She’s an inspiring master instructor at Revolve, teaches her own Stoked Method classes (an approach based on muscle confusion) at high-end gyms like Reebok and in Central Park, and she recently gained lots of attention for her amazing Primal workout (and video).
Although her fitness prowess is vast, Stokes’s approach to nutrition is simple: Stick to the basics.
“I believe a green juice should be basic, meant to infuse you with energy and vitamins in a simply, easy way,” she says. (Maybe that’s how she got so ripped?)
Stokes told us she blends up ginger, apple, and cucumber with dandelion greens for a nutritional boost in her day. Here’s her recipe:
Stoked On The Go
Handful of kale
Handful of dandelion greens
1/3 lemon, peeled
1/3 green apple
1/4 inch piece of fresh ginger root
Pinch of cayenne pepper
Blend with ice, add water as needed.
