Fun and funky Sadie Nardini is a yoga world rockstar.
Nardini is founder of Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga and is the host of the world’s first yoga reality show, Rock Your Yoga.
Last summer, she staged a scantily clad yoga flash mob in Times Square to encourage body confidence.
And Nardini’s favorite green juice is an edgy twist on a Sunday brunch staple, The Bloody Mary (sans vodka).
“This drink is packed with antioxidants,” Nardini says. So it will make your body happy, not hungover. —Jamie McKillop
Makes 2 big glasses; one for you, one to share.
2 cups kale or spinach leaves
2 cups cubed ripe tomatoes (green if you can get ’em)
1 cup filtered water
1 cup sliced cucumber
1 cup chopped celery
1 heaping tablespoon yellow onion
1 teaspoon minced garlic
2 teaspoons wheat-free tamari
1 lemon, squeezed
Sea salt and cayenne or black pepper to taste
De-stem the kale, add all ingredients into your blender or Vitamix. Blend on high until pureed. Serve in a tall glass over ice with a garnish of green olives, pickles, celery—or all three!
