My Favorite Green Juice Recipe: Zoe Twitt

Shop Zoe Life founder Zoe Twitt was a New York City fashion designer with her own self-titled label for ten years, until her fast-paced lifestyle caught up with her.

“I was non-stop working and having a lot of health issues during my time in NYC,” Twitt, 31, says. “I battled severe inflammation, although no doctor could diagnose the issue.”

To find relief, she began researching organic living and wellness practices and made the decision to relocate to Denver for a “new stress-free life living in the Rocky Mountains,” where she later launched her website to share that lifestyle with others.

“I wanted to create something for the people who also suffer from different scary health issues but don’t have the time to research products,” Twitt explains. To achieve that, she curates a comprehensive selection of wellness products, from Dr. Alkaitis all-natural skincare to BetterYou supplements to Michi workout leggings.

She also posts advice and recipes to share her new, healthy habits, which include drinking a green juice or smoothie every day.

We got the recipe for one of her go-to blends, so while you may not be able to up and move to Denver for the cleaner air tomorrow, you can at least follow her lead with your Nutribullet. —Jamie McKillop

Green Beauty Queen Smoothie

1 cup almond milk
1 large kale leaf
1/2 frozen banana
2 dates
1 Tbsp vanilla extract

Blend ingredients together in a high speed blender, allowing a little extra time for the dates. I like to add a few ice cubes at the end, because I like this smoothie cold. Enjoy!
