My Five Beauty Obsessions: Elana Brynes

Growing her new, high-end line of sweatshirts beloved by fitness influencers could wreak havoc on this entrepreneur's skin. Here's why it doesn't.

Elana BrynesKings of Cole creator Elana Brynes may only be in her mid-twenties, but the designer has already caught the eye of major influencers: Tracy Anderson and Gwyneth Paltrow. Both have been spotted sporting her signature full-zip hooded sweatshirts, pullover sweatshirts, and sweatpants from the high-end line of soft casuals. (Anderson called them “just about the most comfortable thing to wear,” during her summer Detox Weeks.)

And now the NYC native has teamed with Paltrow’s Goop for a capsule collection that includes denim-colored sweatpants with a pink drawstring and a cropped sweatshirt.

Growing her fashion business keeps Brynes constantly on-the-go (trade shows, plane trips, photo shoots, oh my), so we checked in with the young entrepreneur to find what beauty essentials she packs to keep her glowing skin, well, glowing.

1. Alima Pure Satin Matte Bronzer ($20)
I’m obsessed with this because it’s an all-natural mineral bronzer that’s light and easy to apply. I have freckles and am constantly looking for a bronzer that will give me a nice even glow while allowing my freckles to shine through.

Vinosource S.O.S. Thirst Quenching Serum2. Vinosource S.O.S. Thirst Quenching Serum ($48)
I’m constantly traveling and on airplanes. Differences in altitudes, connecting flights and change in temperatures leave my skin thirsty, dry and irritated. This serum gives my skin the much needed balance it needs when I’m on-the-go.

3. Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel for Sensitive Skin ($36)
I have very sensitive skin, so for me, the idea of an at-home peel made as much sense as an at-home perm…not smart. This product changed my mind. It leaves my skin perfectly smooth and glowing and it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.

Cargo Plantlove Lipstick4. Cargo Plantlove Lipstick ($25)
Finding a great lipstick is like finding a friend for life. I’m extremely loyal to my tubes and wear them to death. Cargo Plantlove is a line of 100 percent natural, “eco-fabulous” makeup, and I’m a huge fan. I even majorly back stock my favorites.

5. Tammy Fender Shower Gel and Body Oil for Goop ($160)
Baths are my oasis. I am always looking for new all-natural products that help me relax after long days at trade shows or on the road. I am in love with this body oil, but a warning—do not carry these on the plane or they will get confiscated! —Sharon Feiereisen
