My Studio Style: Lauren Goldberg

The fitness pro known as L Boogie doesn't just train her clients—she outfits them, too. Here she shares three workout pieces she's loving this winter.

Lauren Goldberg Pint-sized powerhouse Lauren Goldberg (AKA “L Boogie”) is the real deal in the fitness trainer world. With a devoted following of clients in the sports, entertainment, and fashion worlds, the New Yorker is as dedicated to fitness as she advises her trainees to be. (Um, just look at those abs.)

Outside of her obvious commitment to working out, Goldberg is also known for her fitness-meets-fashion sense of style, which she likes to call “renegade chic.” She was recently tapped as a Sweaty Betty ambassador, and loves sneakers. In fact’s she got a collection of more than 300 pairs, all Nike. “Some people collect art; I collect vintage workout wear and sneakers,” she says.

And apart from dressing herself, Goldberg is just as passionate about dressing her clients. “I offer a personal fitness shopping service to my clients, where I go out and buy their workout attire for them because I know the brands, I know what looks good on all different body types, and I know what works in the gym,” she says.

C9 by Champion Women’s Seamless Racer Bra ($15) These are my go to sports bras. They alway has a perfect selection of in-season colored sports bras. They are comfortable, supportive, and fun to incorporate into any fitness look. Of course, they’re also incredible affordable.

Splits59 Revive Liquid Scarlet Pullover ($94) Screen Shot 2014-01-05 at 4.32.20 PM I love the use of fun flirty fabrics and cuts. Split59 has some great, stylish pieces with a little extra flare here and there. This is one of my favorite winter pieces. It’s a French terry scoop-neck top with a splash of “liquid” rockstar detailing around the neck.

Anatomie mesh baseball jacket Anatomie Bailey Transparent Mesh Baseball Jacket ($159) This company is a little bit more expensive, but the quality of the material is well worth it. This jacket in electric blue is a great pop of color to add over any workout attire. And it covers without being totally opaque, so it’s a fun for layering with tanks or something you want to show off a bit underneath.
