Paragon to host a selfie race around Manhattan this Saturday

There is no finish line at this race—only selfies.

Hosted by Paragon Sports and Marmot, Race The City Your Own Way takes place this Saturday, September 27, and it’s almost like a scavenger hunt of New York City landmarks (and how cute you look next to them).

Here’s how it works: A list of nine landmarks from 110th St. to the southern tip of Manhattan will be released that morning and participants will then set out to visit each one however they want, whether its by biking, walking, running, skateboarding, rollerblading—or even the subway or driving.

At each stop, you log your locations by taking selfies (presumably in your Marmot t-shirt) and tagging them with the hashtag #YOW. The first person to tag all nine locations and arrive back at Paragon wins. Winners will be announced on the day of the race, and they’ll make out with some serious swag.

Sounds like a cool way to experience New York City in a fitness-forward way, and it’s bound to be a lot more exciting than your routine run in the park. Just please don’t choose the driving option. —Jamie McKillop
