ClassPass founder Payal Kadakia on her go-to smoothie booster and just how long she can hold plank

payal-kadakia-classpassWelcome to Wellness Confidential, our quick-fire interview series where we ask hard-hitting (okay, entertaining) wellness questions, lightning round-style.

This week we’re quizzing 32-year-old Payal Kadakia, the CEO behind of-the-moment fitness megabrand ClassPass, who knows a thing or two about scheduling a good (and affordable) workout.

First thing I did when I woke up this morning: Went for a run!

Last thing I did before I went to sleep last night: Talked to my fiancé.

Most people probably don’t know this about me, but… I’m always wearing a necklace called a tulsi mala my grandfather gave me in sixth grade. Also, I’m 4’11”.

The one place I’d never wear yoga pants: a wedding.

Workout I’m currently obsessed with: Circuit of Change.

The one wellness trend you’ll never see me try: Cleanses.

If sugar was a superfood, my diet would consist of: Skittles, Sour Patch Kids. and butterscotch candies.

The last time I used my oven: Hmm… never.

I never make a smoothie without adding: Peanut butter!

If I were a fruit or vegetable, I’d be: a watermelon.

I firmly believe that a woman can never have too many: Workout tops.

The one song that I’ve been playing on repeat: OMI’s “Cheerleader.”

The one beauty product that I’m always replenishing: Eyeliner.

My go-to spot for date night with my BF/GF/BFFs: The Flatiron Room.

My most memorable sweaty moment: I held plank for over four minutes!

One way I’ve given back that I’m proud of is: Helping my Indian culture stay alive, and of course keeping people happy through ClassPass.

My mantra of the moment: Embrace change.
