Pressed Juicery, the hot California-based juice brand founded by three friends, plans to open eight new locations by early 2015. That’s like a new counter every other week…
The cold-pressed company is known for opening cute juice kiosks in cool malls across California (think Brentwood Country Mart to the San Francisco Ferry Building). The new outposts in locations like Malibu, where it currently has a juice truck, along with Newport Beach, Irvine, and Westlake will follow suit. And they’ll serve Pressed’s new green “fro-yo,” a summer hit.
Dominance on the West Coast seems part of the plan. “We are focused on growing our brand concentrically and these locations are prime…it just makes sense for us to be there,” says co-founder, Carly de Castro. And juice without an hour’s drive into LA is key: “Locations such as Fashion Island in Newport Beach will make us more convenient for our Orange County customers,” she adds.
This news is on the heels of Pressed Juicery’s new book, Juice: Recipes for Juicing, Cleansing and Living Well, which debuted earlier this summer, and is filled with recipes like Spicy Tomato and Fennel juice. So you could say they’re expanding into kitchens, too. —Molly Gallagher
