One neighborhood might be wearing ironic Birkenstocks and the other Jack Rogers, but residents of Williamsburg and Southampton both recently welcomed a new neighbor: Pure Barre.

Competitive athlete Becca Fagan opened a Brooklyn outpost of the national franchise barre brand on Wythe Avenue in late April, just a stone’s throw from Brooklyn Bodyburn and SoulCycle.

And last weekend, the women behind Pure Barre’s Manhattan studios, Kaitlin Vandura and Leslie Thallemer, joined forces with Hamptons local Patti Cooke to open a location on Windmill Lane in Southampton.

That brings the final count of New York City and Hamptons Pure Barre locations to five, a number topped only by Exhale when it comes to Big Apple barre proliferation. —Jamie McKillop
