You know that vision board you created last winter, during a crazy crafting and scrapbooking episode? (Cabin fever, yo. It’s no joke.) You may want to dust it off—and edit. Because the next few days, astrologically speaking, have serious manifestation mojo. And, as they say: Be careful what you wish for.

The full moon in Capricorn begins at 6:56 p.m. EDT on July 19, representing a culmination of energy from two signs that oppose each other in the zodiac—and this alignment is all about achievement, recognition, and worldly success.

“With the full moon, that opposition takes place between the sun in nurturing and emotionally driven Cancer, and Capricorn, the cosmic enforcer who challenges us to do the hard work necessary to receive the worldly recognition we crave,” says Lennon Mara of Moon+Quartz. “The opposition of these two archetypes represents the key to understanding the energies at work.”

Here’s how to turn the next few days of the full moon in Capricorn into a super-powered period of manifestation.

1. Work hard—but focus your energies wisely

The Capricorn full moon illuminates issues of work-life balance in your day-to-day life, forcing you to examine how you spend your time. In the areas where you’ve given it your all, expect to reap rewards. “Whether it’s many late nights at the office resulting in a promotion or recognition, or too little investment in nurturing self-care leaving you feeling like you’re running on empty, there’s a strong chance you’ll see the results of your efforts now—or lack thereof, as the case may be,” Mara says.

2. Do a support system “gut check”

This is no time to put everyone else’s priorities ahead of your own. Ask yourself: Am I receiving the support I need from close friends and family to manifest my goals in the world? If not, where am I failing to receive the help I need? On the other hand, “if your inner circle is airtight, make sure to express your gratitude to those who’ve been there for you,” Mara says.

3. Have a little faith—those dreams are closer than they appear

“Don’t beat yourself up, feeling frustrated that you aren’t where you thought you’d be by now,” says Mara. Release your judgment and put that inner voice that tells you you’re never good enough on “mute.” Instead, take a clear-eyed look at your own hard work and effort, and see how much progress you’re actually making. “So long as you’re taking measured, concrete steps toward your goal, you are on the right path,” Mara says.

Need some help in the “focus” department? Here’s some great advice on finding your purpose. And if you’ve got a dream on lock (but don’t quite have the confidence to make the leap yet), check out the story of this finance exec-turned-wellness star—and the lessons she learned along the way.
