Take Back Your Lunch!

Take Back Your LunchMost New Yorkers have been robbed of their lunch hour due to increased work demands and the expectation that we’ll eat while working at our desks. (We won’t get into our Facebook habit.)

So tomorrow, Wednesday, June 23—and every Wednesday this summer—is Take Back Your Lunch Day.

The lunchtime event starts fittingly at noon. What can you expect? “An hour of not checking emails, not answering phones and no fluorescent lighting. Just sitting, eating, drinking and talking – you know, lunch!” Not to mention a breath of fresh air and, dare to dream, a stretch or two.

Bring your own healthy lunch or deli sandwich to Madison Square Park, E 23rd Stree & 5th Avenue. It’s a nationwide event sponsored by The Energy Project.
