“The Colbert Report” takes on GMOs

"It's none of our business what we're putting in our mouths," says Colbert.

Stephen ColbertIf you didn’t catch it, last week, Stephen Colbert added his two (hilarious) cents to the GMO labeling issue, after Washington State voters defeated a measure that would have required companies to disclose GMOs in products on their labels. (What the heck, Washington?)

“America’s food manufacturers can’t take the time and expense to find out if there’s genetically modified ingredients in their food,” Colbert reasoned. “They don’t even know if there’s food in their food.”
