While the fitness mega-center housed a spa before, the bringing in of the well-known Paul Labrecque brand is a serious upgrade, with his other spas situated in facilities like Reebok Sports Club and the swanky Core Club.
“We’re so excited to welcome Paul Labrecque to Chelsea Piers. His reputation for providing exceptional services and products, combined with outstanding customer service, make him a perfect match for us,” Sports Center general manager Greta Wagner said in a press release.
The 2,000-sq-ft space will offer the same extensive menu (and prices) as the spa’s West (Reebok) and East (Chatham) New York City locations, including hair, nails, waxing, facials, peels, massage, and even alt-health treatments like colonics, acupuncture, and Reiki. Sports Center members will get 10 percent off spa services, and spa clients will get free reign of the Sports Center’s facilities on the day of their appointment (pre-facial swim anyone?).
Exclusive to the Chelsea Piers spa will be a new Paul Labrecque Blow Dry Club, where $45 blowouts will be sold in packages of 10. Sounds like the perfect post-boot camp service to book before heading to dinner. —Lisa Elaine Held
