Plan on hitting a spin class or two over the weekend?

Consider this: For just $10 a class, you can get in your weekend workout and flex your charity muscles at Asphalt Green’s Spin for the Future.

There are three morning spin classes on Saturday and two on Sunday, and your crisp Alexander Hamilton will go to the Swim for the Future Scholarship Fund, a program that provides financial assistance to young, promising swimmers from New York City.

Founded in memory of two Asphalt Green Masters swimmers who lost their lives on 9/11, the fund has awarded scholarships to 143 swimmers in the past, four of whom have qualified for the 2012 Olympic trials.

So, who knows? Your sweaty calorie burn may play a role in launching the career of the next Michael Phelps.

Spin for the Future, Saturday, September 17 at 9:00, 10:00, and 11:30 a.m.; Sunday, September 18 at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m., $10, Asphalt Green AquaCenter, 1750 York Ave. (at 91st St.), 4th floor. No reservation required, 212-869-8890,
