I tend to stay up very late at night, but I also really cherish my mornings. I’ve been trying to figure out my routine, particularly after Pretty Little Liars ended—on the show, I'd get up at 5 a.m., rush to get to work at 5:30 a.m., and hair and makeup would take me to 7 a.m. I've experimented with a lot of different things.

I remember reading a while ago that your body produces natural oils when you sleep. It’s really good not to strip them in the morning. So I’ll just toss some water on my face and that'll be the only thing I’ll do.

Sometimes when you wake up early and your body’s still basically asleep, all you want is coffee—I love it black. I used to rush to Starbucks—and then be hungry, over stimulated, and not know what to eat. Instead, I've started making myself a green smoothie. It's a really nice way to wake up with nourishing food and be less hungry until I can have breakfast at a later time.

I like working out in the morning because I find that it wakes my body up and energizes me for the rest of the day.

I travel a lot and always pack plenty of breakfast snacks. I find that including a This Bar is a great way to round out a couple of different options and stay satiated on a plane. It's gluten-free, dairy free, non-GMO, and all ethically sourced. And buying a bar is also saving a life—it’s very impactful, but at the same time, also really tastes good.

If I'm not on the road, I like working out in the morning because I find that it wakes my body up and energizes me for the rest of the day. I may go for a run, or a hike. I'm definitely also addicted to SoulCycle.

Bellisario's not the only PLL star dishing out wellness rituals–check out the hardest workout ever, according to Shay Mitchell, and Lucy Hale's latest face mask obsession.
