Lia Avellino is a relational psychotherapist specializing in women’s issues and modern love. As the director of head and heart at THE WELL, a science-backed ecosystem for wellness, and the co-founder of Spoke, a community-based organization that provides group support on a variety of life’s challenges, she empowers people to work through issues that are meaningful to them. Avellino graduated with distinction from Columbia University and has received awards for innovative research and excellence in the provision of therapeutic care to underserved populations. She believes that deep and intentional connection is the balm for healing, and that we all have what we need within us to find our way.

Deepika Chopra, Optimism Doctor® and Founder of Things Are Looking Up and Things Are Looking Up Heroes: a Free Emotional Health Resource for Frontline Workers Fighting COVID-19, specializes in bridging holistic practices and evidence-based science to help clients, couples, and corporations cultivate their own sense of lasting happiness, resiliency, optimism, and success. Dr. Chopra holds a doctorate in clinical health psychology, and has a special interest in mind-body connection, sensory-based visual imagery, color therapy, innovative cognitive behavioral strategies, and methods to increase optimism and resilience. Dr. Chopra completed a double postdoctoral fellowship at both the University of California at Los Angeles and Cedars Sinai Medical Center, and her work has been featured in Forbes, Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, Variety, E!, NBC, among others.

Ingrid Fetell Lee | Designer + Author

Ingrid Fetell Lee is a designer and author whose work reveals the hidden influence of our surroundings on our emotions and wellbeing. As a former design director at IDEO, author of Joyful: The Surprising Power of Ordinary Things to Create Extraordinary Happiness, and the founder of the website The Aesthetics of Joy, she empowers people to find more joy in life and work through design. Lee holds a Master’s in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute and a Bachelor’s in English and Creative Writing from Princeton University. She has over twelve years of experience in design and branding, having led design programs for Target, Condé Nast, Eileen Fisher, American Express, Kate Spade, Diageo, Pepsico, and the US government, among others.

Kate Spies | SVP Content + Growth, Well+Good

Kate leads Well+Good’s content and growth teams. She’s a big believer in combining art (gut editorial feels) and science (robust audience data points) to create killer content. Before joining Well+Good, Kate worked at a variety of global digital publishers and agencies specializing in content and distribution strategy to rapidly scale a number of brands. Kate studied journalism at the University of Technology, Sydney, and grew up as a water baby by the beach in Sydney’s southern suburbs.
