Lunch with Alec Baldwin is so 2012.

While charity auctions have relied on celebrity participation for a long time, they’re no longer focusing on giving you the chance to chat with the stars—they want you to sweat with them.

This month, three fitness-loving celebs—Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson, and Jessica Alba—have teamed up with Charity Buzz to auction off workout sessions. Paltrow and her go-to trainer Tracy Anderson are auctioning off a private Tracy Anderson Method class to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Hudson is auctioning an hour of Pilates (plus some Fabletics fitness apparel) and Alba is giving away an hour of hot yoga (oh, and a year’s supply of coconut water)—both supporting Communities In Schools and DonorsChoose.org.

The one downside: It’ll cost you way more than that boutique fitness price tag you’ve been complaining about. Hudson’s bid is currently at $3,750.00, while the Paltrow/Anderson party is at $7,999. But if you’ve got the cash, why not flex your charitable muscles for real, rather than sitting through another boring gala? —Molly Gallagher
