In March, a company that hosts yoga classes in art galleries and other surprise locations throughout the city is dedicating its practice to helping the hurricane-ravaged Rockaways.

Pop Up Yoga has joined forces with the Rockaway Beach Surf Club, group of surfers who are helping to rebuild the coastline, and they’ll be hosting fundraising classes every Tuesday and Wednesday night in March.

Tuesday classes will be at Pushcart Coffee Peter’s Field on Second Avenue and 21st Street at 8:30 p.m. and Wednesday classes will be at Modca Cafe on N. 3rd Street in Williamsburg at 7:30 p.m.

There’s a minimum $5 donation to roll our your mat (it’s BYOM) at both, and 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the Surf Club for purchasing tools and supplies. Good karma’s included if you can leave a little more.
