If you’re trying to decide between a kick-in-the-pants power boost of Bulletproof coffee and the skin-glowing benefits of a golden milk latte, Busy Philipps has your answer: A collagen-rich, protein-packed Bulletproof coffee.

In an interview with People, the actress and mom of two opened up about her pre-morning ritual with the coconut oil- and butter-based drink: “I wake up before the kids get up and have my Bulletproof coffee first thing in the morning before I work out or eat—I’m obsessed. I’ve been doing it every day since November.”

And Philipps likes to put her own spin on the drink, adding a skin-friendly ingredient to the traditional blend of ultra-pure coffee, unsalted grass-fed butter, and super-concentrated MCT oil.

“I [add] collagen protein powder,” she explains. “Sometimes I put vanilla bean. I love it.”

So it seems that you can have your Bulletproof energy and a beauty boost, too. A good option to add into morning rotation until the iced coffee of your dreams is back on the menu?

You can never have enough early-morning wake-up drinks—try Connie Britton’s daily three-ingredient, detoxifying elixir or give Adam Rosante’s coffee-avocado smoothie a go.
