Cheers to Libra Season With This Astrologically Crafted Herbal Cocktail

It's no secret that Libras are among the most social of the signs. The type of girl who hits it off with just about everyone she meets, a Libra is exactly who you want at a party—if she isn't already throwing it herself. Virgo season may have been about goal-setting and working hard, but Libra season (September 23 to October 22) is all about celebrating. And what better way to top it off, than with a special astrologically aligned cocktail? (It may not exactly be as wellness-friendly as tucking in with a glass of gut-healthy kombucha, but if you get the stars on your side, maybe it's worth it?)

"Our monthly astrology special allows us to feature different spirits and ingredients based on popular traits of each star sign."

Here's a drink that fits the (cosmic) bill, from Brooklyn bar Mood Ring, which serves a rotating menu that changes with each astrological season. "In general, we like to play with the idea of different moods, personalities, and characteristics," says co-owner Vanessa Li. "Our monthly astrology special allows us to feature different spirits and ingredients based on popular traits of each star sign."

So, what did Li and co-owner Bowen Goh concoct for the current astrological season? "For our Libra special, Say No More, we used St. Germain elderflower liqueur—to play with the sign's propensity for emotional intelligence—and topped it off with prosecco to give a light, sweet taste, to highlight the sign's endless abilities to charm," Li says. Want to try it out? Keep reading for the recipe.
