OG Grab-and-Go Smoothie Brand Naked Is Getting Into the Healthy Snack Bar Game

Well+Good Creative
Naked made its name in grab-and-go smoothies, but now the brand—for the first time ever!—is expanding beyond liquids. Its latest endeavor? Snack bars loaded with real, high-quality fruits and veggies.

Unlike many snack bars you'll find on store shelves, just-released Naked Fruit, Nut & Veggie Bars are actually found in the refrigerated section of retailers (including Whole Foods), as the preservative- and GMO-free product is chilled to stay as fresh as can be. Right now, the three flavors available—Blue Machine, Green Machine, and Red Machine, all inspired by the OG smoothie flavors, natch—all include fruits and veggies.

"Since it's not always convenient to fit fruits and vegetables into your daily routine, we're expanding our lineup, continuing to provide consumers with yet another option to make sure they are getting their daily dose of goodness." —Becca Kerr, senior VP, North America Nutrition Fruit and Vegetable portfolio at Naked

"As experts in fruits and vegetables, I'm thrilled we are bringing the convenience, nutrition, and taste we're known for at Naked into the chilled bars space," said Becca Kerr, senior VP, North America Nutrition Fruit and Vegetable portfolio at Naked, in a press release. "Since it's not always convenient to fit fruits and vegetables into your daily routine, we're expanding our lineup, continuing to provide consumers with yet another option to make sure they are getting their daily dose of goodness."

Each of the 160-calorie bars contain vitamin- and protein-packed goodies like almonds, carrots, quinoa, pistachios, apples, spinach, and kale, so consider it another option you can toss in your gym bag to snack on later for about $2. This year is already shaping up to be healthy when it comes to easy snacking.
