For supermodel Elle Macpherson, eating well is a non-negotiable (and delicious!) part of being her best self. And she's developed some recipes that taste as good as they'll make you feel. Here, the Well+Good Council member shares her go-to smoothie recipe for radiant skin, boundless energy, and feeling all-around fantastic.

My favorite smoothie is one packed with greens, hydrating properties, and skin-loving ingredients. It’s my go-to when my skin needs a good burst of nourishment. It’s a straight shot of everything my body needs.

Because the body breaks fruit down differently than vegetables, it is fruit-free.  I have added in a few different greens, because they all have unique benefits. Kale is a good source of iron and calcium, while spinach is high in vitamin C as well as vitamin A—which is essential for healthy skin, hair, and nails. Cucumber is very hydrating and high in potassium, celery is an antioxidant, and ginger is fantastic for digestion.

Oh, and did I mention it tastes fantastic? Sip it for breakfast, as a mid-afternoon pick-me-up, or when your skin looks blah but you need it to glow.

Elle's Go-To Smoothie

1 cup filtered water (or use coconut water for a sweeter taste)
1/2 cucumber
4 celery sticks
1/2 cup fresh spinach
1/2 cup fresh kale
1 tsp fresh grated ginger
4 ice cubes
2 tsp WelleCo's The Super Elixir Alkalising Formula

Combine all ingredients, blitz (top with lime), and see and feel the benefits.
